*JOB SUMMARY*
The Personal Banker/Relationship Banker/CSR position requires a diverse set of skills to effectively serve customers and manage financial transactions.
Core skills such as banking knowledge, basic math proficiency, customer service experience, familiarity with financial services, and expertise in cash handling are essential for success in this role.
Premium skills including financial sales abilities, customer relationship management, fraud prevention and detection expertise, loan origination and processing capabilities, and proficiency in sales and upselling techniques are highly valued.
*GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business by promoting company services and products.
Seeks referrals from current client base.
* Opens various new accounts, process necessary information and educate the customers as to services/products available.
* Answers telephone, assist with any questions.
* Maintains frequent contact with customers, returning all incoming calls and addressing problems/questions within a 24 hour period.
Serves as a relationship banker to provide banking services and facilitates delivery of consumer loans.
* Assist with the credit approval process.
Originates consumer loans applications.
Closes consumer loans following bank policies and procedures.
* Provide assistance as a backup on the teller line as needed.
* Supports bank marketing and sales efforts by knowing features, advantages, and benefits to all bank retail products and services.
Sell and cross-sell bank products.
* Responsible to comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Two to five years of similar or related experience required
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Accurate and detail-oriented
* Strong interpersonal and interaction skills.
Must have ability to interact comfortably and confidently with customers, co-workers and departments.
Demonstrates the initiative to initiate dialogue.
* Previous relationship banking experience; knowledge of effective customer service methods and practices.
* Proficient computer skills including ability to work in Windows based systems.
* Candidates must meet the company's hiring criteria to include a pre-employment background investigation and drug test.
