RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1.
Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of content, effective pedagogy, high school studentdevelopment, response to intervention processes, and resources to support student learning.
2.
Candidate must be able to examine student data to make decisions regarding instruction.
3.
Candidate must create and maintain a classroom environment of respect and rapport that isconducive to learning.
4.
Candidate must organize and manage physical space to optimize learning.
5.
Candidate must use effective questioning and engage students in learning.
6.
Candidate must participate in regular collaboration to reflect on teaching, plan instruction,monitor implementation, and respond to student performance data.
LICENSE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid State of Indiana Teaching License.
Candidate must be certified to teach 9-12 biology courses.
Credentials to teach PLTW (Project Lead the Way), or willingness to be trained is preferred.
