Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Trilogy Health Services is looking for an Instructional Designer to join its Home Office team.
This role is a temporary contract position and reports to Assistant Vice President of Learning and Communication.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating, designing and developing educational content and materials that meet specific learning objectives and enhance the learning experience.
They work closely with subject matter experts, educators and stakeholders to create effective learning solutions.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audience characteristics, and specific learning goals.
Analyze existing materials and performance gaps.
Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content utilizing a set process such as storyboarding.
Develops and designs courses and builds out curricula as needed.
Provides suggestions and ideas to create effective learning experiences and positive working environments.
Designs relevant and engaging learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
Creates supporting content for trainers and facilitators.
Develops instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
Trains instructors, students, and employees in how to use these tools.
Supports trainers and facilitators utilization of learning technologies.
Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher degree in instructional design, education, or related field.
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in instructional design role.
Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
Experience with project management
Experience with design platforms, such as InDesign
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours.
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
