Job Summary
The Admissions Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for an Admissions Specialist.
Job Duties:
The primary responsibilities are:
· Enter, process, and review admissions applications & resolve issues related to the admissions process
· Communicate daily with applicants through the mail, email, telephone, and in-person regarding admissions
requirements
· Process high school transcripts, visiting student letters, college transcripts, and any additional
paperwork for the office
· Provide professional, quality customer service to all students, staff, faculty, and guests of the college
· Assist with reviewing CPE error reports and internal auditing as needed
· Assist with processing incoming and outgoing mail
· Serve as support to the Director of Admissions and Assistant Directors of Admissions
· Serve as backup to the front desk when needed and backup for Southwest Campus admissions coverage
· Serve on a Selective Admissions Committee annually to help with the admissions process
· Assist the Admissions team with special events and high school visits as needed
· Other duties as assigned to assist with admissions office workflow
Minimum Qualifications:
An associate’s degree and three years’ related experience, or equivalent, are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals with a background in customer service and written communication.
Some travel may be required.
