*Attorney – Bankruptcy/Replevin/Collection* *Job Summary*: Handle creditor representation on consumer and some commercial bankruptcy matters for national creditors in Kentucky, and Indiana out of the Firm’s Kentucky Office.
Work with paralegal staff to prepare and review Motions For Relief, Proofs of Claim, Adversary Actions, and related matters on behalf of creditors.
Attend all court matters in both Bankruptcy Courts.
Attorney will handle replevin matters in both States, knowledge in this area is a plus but Firm will train.
Knowledge of general consumer debt collection is not required but a plus.
Candidate should exhibit leadership and client communication skills as there is great potential to become the Firm’s Department Head in these States.

*Primary Responsibilities:* * Attorney must be highly organized, self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and display an attitude that no task is too small to get the job done and serve the client.
* Attorney experience must be in creditor bankruptcy matters.
Areas include secured auto, small volume of mortgage matters, and governmental debt.
.
* Replevin experience is helpful but will be part of the applicants duties and Firm will train.
* Communicating with clients to provide updates on cases, advise on legal matters, and answer any questions they may have.
* Collection matters will arise although not primary.
Experience in this area is a plus.
* Candidates must have knowledge of the FDCPA, and understand compliance regulations promulgated by the CFPB.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications and Requirements:* * Education: Law degree.
* Experience: 3+ years’ experience.
* Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, BKFS and Tempo a plus.
* Require a license in Kentucky and a license in Indiana is a plus.
Must be willing to get an Indiana license.
* Skills: Strong communication, written, oral, and listening skills.
Detail-oriented and a strong commitment to customer service.
