SCHEDULE: Full Time TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25% LOCATION: This position will be onsite and may be located in one of our retail offices in Arkansas, Kentucky or Tennessee.
COMPENSATION: $57,361.
00 to $119,842.
00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation.
Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity Manages a portfolio of assigned accounts currently involved in litigation.
The Litigation Manager role will initiate legal action on accounts as necessary, liquidate collateral, or protect interests of the Association for loans assigned to this role's portfolio.
The role will review deceased accounts for potential estate claims.
Provides additional support to Litigation Officers as necessary.
The Litigation Manager works closely with outside attorneys to develop litigation strategy.
The LM will be comfortable speaking directly with outside counsel to identify the appropriate solution for assigned accounts and will oversee assigned counsel to ensure performance time lines and to monitor related fees.
The LM will remain knowledgeable and continue to develop skills in areas of commercial and/or consumer litigation support from a creditor's perspective.
This role is required to be fluent in Association software programs and have the ability to input file information into the appropriate program and to operate effectively inside delegated authorities.
This role will be required to conduct sensitive and challenging conversations with customers who are severely delinquent, in litigation or experiencing various forms of distress.
This role must have comprehensive knowledge of Mortgage Servicing and default activities and strong interpersonal skills.
How You Will Spend Your Time Acquire property management Approve or deny litigation actions Approve or deny payment agreements after litigation has started Alert outside counsel to payment change notifications Attorney engagement and correspondence Build relationships with attorneys to create consistent litigation support strategies Comply with Borrower Rights, RESPA, or other applicable regulations and maintain a baseline knowledge of various regulatory requirements Contact 3rd parties such as courts, trustees, or debtor’s attorneys as needed Determine when attorney action is required and ensure proper handling Facilitate and monitor timely action steps on accounts, utilizing current CRM software to document updates.
Formulate strategies and maximize returns to the Association.
Function as a compliance resource for the team Generate documents as required by the type of litigation Monitor and complete tasks associated with active bankruptcies and foreclosures Operate within delegated authority to make decisions regarding litigation that maximize returns to FCMA or minimize loss Represents and communicates the mission and values of Farm Credit Mid-America and complies with its conduct policy, security policy, and confidentiality expectations.
Work closely with Default Specialists and Resolutions Officers for hand-off of loans in default Minimum Education & Experience Two years of FCMA, litigation or paralegal experience preferred.
Associate degree or equivalent classroom hours plus five years of experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy or acquired property management while using a variety of business software; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus four years of experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy or acquired property management while using a variety of business software; OR Completion of certified post-high school legal, paralegal, or business program and five years of progressively responsible paralegal or legal administrative experience.
Experience working with leadership in a public or private company.
